We believe that trans folks and the wider LGBTQIA+ community are one community and should stand together without caveats - there is no LGB without the T. Our Board Gaymes night and our discord server are open to all members of the queer community and our allies. We are trans-led and founded by trans and nonbinary people. We welcome and include people of many different intersecting identities. Our tickets are kept at very low prices to ensure people don’t feel priced out, and we offer free tickets for those struggling to afford entrance and for any carers attending with guests. While we are not specifically anti-alcohol, we meet in a dry space out of recognition that many queer spaces can be orientated around drinking, which may not be ideal for those who are sober, and we would like to offer an alternative.

We run our Board Gaymes events from Lovelocks Coffee, which has been an unofficial queer safe space in Liverpool for a number of years and is also fully wheelchair accessible, with gender neutral bathrooms. Attendees are offered pronoun and name stickers at the door, including blank stickers for pronouns outside of he, she and they.

We have a zero tolerance policy for discrimination and harassment, and luckily have had no issues with it thus far, but have guidelines and rules in place just in case something were to happen. All admins are happy to receive feedback on our events and everyone should feel free to approach us with questions or concerns, whether in person or online. We want Board Gaymes to be a celebration of queer and trans joy, and a space where people can feel accepted, connect with other queer people and most importantly have fun!
